Songs
PRESCREEN: Participates in Musical Theater Common Prescreen (MTCP). See MTCP guidelines for song requirements on Acceptd.
FINAL AUDITION: Two contrasting 16-32 bar cuts. Accompanist provided—bring clearly marked sheet music. Total audition not to exceed 3 minutes. May use same or different material from prescreen.
Monologues
PRESCREEN: Per MTCP requirements.
FINAL AUDITION: One 1-minute monologue from published play. Total audition (songs + monologue) not to exceed 3 minutes. May use same or different material from prescreen.
Dance
PRESCREEN: Per MTCP requirements.
FINAL AUDITION: Be prepared for workshops covering dance, voice, and acting. Bring ballet shoes and jazz or character shoes.
Additional Materials
Headshot (8x10), theatrical resume.
Video Specifications
Per MTCP guidelines: each piece filmed/uploaded separately. Slate at beginning of each piece (not separate video). Standard technology acceptable.
What Happens After Prescreen (If Invited)
Two-step process: digital prescreen via Acceptd → on-campus final audition if invited. Prescreen review begins in August; notification within 2 weeks of submission. Final audition day includes campus tour, Q&A with current students, lunch, and afternoon workshops. Top 25 ranked MT program. Annual evaluations required; seniors audition for industry showcase.
